Jhoota Hi Sahii 2010 - Music by AR Rahman

Jhootha Hi Sahi is an upcoming Hindi film directed by Abbas Tyrewala under the banner of Sa Re Ga Ma Films. This romantic comedy film features John Abraham and Pakhi (Abbas Tyrewala's wife). The film's score and soundtrack are being composed by Academy Award winner A. R. Rahman. The film was earlier titled as 1-800-Love. 


Madhavan will make a guest appearance in the movie. Jhootha Hi Sahi is scheduled to be released on October 15, 2010.

THUMBS DOWN FOR A.R. RAHMAN

Oscar and Grammy winner A.R. Rahman launched the theme song of the XIX Commonwealth Games in a glittering function held in Gurgaon attended by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda and the Organizing Committee Chairman Suresh Kalmadi among Others. Jiyo Utho Bado Jeeto (Live, Rise, Ascend, and Win) was Rahman's call to the athletes. The song was praised by all as it was full of energy, vibrancy of youth and spirit of athletes.

But the song had a detractor in Mr. Vijaykumar Malhotra, who is the Executive board member of the Organizing Committee of the Commonwealth Games. Mr. Malhotra disagreed with the popular opinion of others by claiming that “The song has fallen short of expectations. We had expected a better song from a composer of Rahman's status.” He added that “He has given some very good songs like 'Maa Tujhe Salaam' but this song is not that impressive. We hope that the song is made better because there is still time left for the start of the Games.”

The launch of the theme song has already been delayed as the GoM overseeing the Games had asked Rahman to change the song.

Delhi Commonwealth Games 2010 theme song, Jiyo Utho Bado Jeeto (live, rise, ascend, and win), released by Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman in a glittering ceremony held in Gurgaon on Saturday.

The song was full of energy, vibrancy of youth and spirit of athletes. It was Rahman’s call to rise and win and spectators followed suit. With appreciating whistles, swings, twists and taps, Rahman rocked.

Official FIFA World Cup 2010 theme song

Somalian-born, Canadian-based hip-hop artist K'Naan has spoken about the "unity and celebration" that will connect with his song "Wavin' Flag," after it was chosen as the official anthem of Coca-Cola's 2010 FIFA World Cup program. K'Naan has specially recorded a version of the song for the tournament, hosted by South Africa. The remix of "Wavin' Flag" is part of Coca-Cola's global integrated marketing campaign "inspired by the joyous dance celebrations familiar to Africa."

The track will be used as the music element throughout the entire campaign, including as the soundtrack for all television commercials, during the trophy tour.

Ye Maya Chesave (How have you charmed me?) is a 2010 Telugu version of tamil romance film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa directed and story byGautham Menon, which features Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, in her feature film debut, in the lead roles. As in tamil the telugu version also features a successful music soundtrack composed by A. R. Rahman.

Had heard the song few weeks back and was desperately wondering how the video would be. Director Gautam Vasudev Menon seems to have taken a leaf out of the Phir Mile Sur video and made this into a good one. Here is the video of the Tamil Semmozhi Anthem.
